Trond Vagen is a European correspondent for ถถา๕ณษฤ๊ Regulatory Intelligence, based in Oslo, Norway. He focuses on regulatory developments in the European Union and issues around technology, AML, and data protection in the EU and Nordics. He previously covered Asian markets from Hong Kong and Singapore for over a decade and returned to cover European markets in 2020.He joined ถถา๕ณษฤ๊ in 2010 with the acquisition of Complinet, the online resource for compliance and regulatory professionals. He has more than 20 yearsโ experience as a financial journalist and has previously worked for The Deal, Standard & Poorโs, and Compliance Online, covering issues spanning from M&A deals and private equity in Asia to reporting on EU stock markets.He has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from California State University and is currently pursuing an LLM in Securities Law at the University of London.
