Install e-Form RS

Before installing the new version of e-Form RS, uninstall the old version and turn off pop-up blockers. Download and manually install using the pass-through or standalone method.

Before you begin
Refer to the following updates and changes:
  • If you have an older version of e-Form RS installed, you'll need to uninstall it before you can move forward with the new installer.
    • Select
      Settings
      Apps
       for Windows 10 or Windows 11, or select
      Control Panel
      Programs
      Programs and Features
      .
    • Go to
      e-Form RS
       in the list, then select
      Uninstall
      .
    • Follow the prompts on the screen.
  • You'll have to run the installer .exe manually. It no longer runs automatically after you select
    Install
    .
  • e-Form RS doesn't open automatically after the installation is done. You'll need to open it.
  • Once the new version is installed and opened for the 1st time, future updates will restore the expected auto-open behavior.
You can now install e-Form RS using 1 of 2 methods:
  1. Pass-through installation
  2. Standalone installation

Pass-through installation

As a pass-through user, you'll access e-Form RS through a browser-based pass-through URL provided by your administrator. The key change is that after installation completes, you'll need to return to the pass-through URL and select
Continue
 to open the application. After you select
Continue
, you'll be taken to the
Home
 tab. There are no separate sign-in steps.
  1. Uninstall the old version of e-Form RS, if needed.
  2. Make sure the pop-up blockers are turned off.
  3. Open your browser, and go to the pass-through URL provided by your administrator.
  4. Sign in with your credentials.
  5. On the pass-through page, select
    Install–setup.exe downloads
     and save it to your local machine.
  6. Go to where you saved the file, then run it.
  7. Follow the on-screen prompts to finish the installation.

    e-Form RS won't open the application automatically after the installation.
  8. After the installation is complete, return to the pass-through URL in your browser.
  9. Select
    Continue
     to open the application.

    This step didn't exist previously. Selecting
    Continue
     opens e-Form RS directly to the
    Home
     tab.

Standalone installation

As a standalone user, you'll download e-Form RS directly from the ¶¶Òõ³ÉÄê download page and install it on your computer.
The key change is that after installation, the sign-in screen no longer opens automatically. You'll need to open e-Form RS from your desktop or
Start
 menu.
  1. Uninstall the old version of e-Form RS, if needed.
  2. Make sure the pop-up blockers are turned off.
  3. Go to the ¶¶Òõ³ÉÄê download page and download the e-Form RS installer .exe to your local machine.
  4. Go to where you downloaded the file, then run it.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to finish the installation.

    e-Form RS won't open the application automatically after the installation.
  6. After the installation is complete, open e-Form RS from your desktop or select
    Start
    Programs
    e-Form RS
    .
    note
    This step didn't exist previously. The sign-in page only shows after you open the application.
  7. Sign in with your account number, username, and password.
